All alone at breakfast – I’m so wonely
Except for Gough, who is all sooky in Yolande’s absence, and is manically lap-sitting and making it hard to type.

Got e-mail from the GlobeTrotter last night, sounds like Foreign Climes are lots of fun!

Comments on blog posts don’t seem to be there, so I can’t comment on Thorne’s post directly, so here are some related ramblings…

re: The Handmade’s Tale – “Science Fiction”? I’m not sure this term is at all relevant, really. The only science in the film was barcode scanners, and the fact that it’s set in the future… (Actually, given it was made in 1990 it’s probably no longer the future – can futuristic stories become retrospectively parallel-history stories? :) )

IMDB is always fun – Robert Duvallexternal link has a very strange career history, from THX1138 to “Apocalypse Pooh”external link – now that looks fascinating, must see if it’s available online in a linux-friendly format…
