Death distruction and dispair

1000 dead in Iraq stampede, thousands in New Orleans, mainly the poor. I guess they used up all the happiness on Monday.
Still it’s not all bad – I retrieved my Gough Whitlam mug and my Suse chameleon to decorate my workspace…

Da Chick has gone on her fabulous conference trip – two weeks in Latvia and England. It should be excellent. It is also the longest we’ve been apart in the last 9 years!
