The Life of Me!

I just started my new job this week. Very different to the last one. I think I’m gonna like it. What’s more, no more shift work!! Marred only slightly by the rotten headcold that started on Tuesday … God bless over-the-counter cold medications.

Right now the main thing I’m watching is that classic ’80s cartoon series, Jem. You know the one, where the amazing computer Synergy turns Jerrica Benton, the business woman, into Jem, the rock star, using holographic technology. The funniest part is the teenage-style romance in it. See, Jem and Jerrica are the same person. Rio, Jerrica’s boyfriend, is also sweet on Jem. Despite cheating on Jerrica with Jem, he is hypocritical enough to get jealous when another man shows interest in Jem. And Jerrica is jealous of the attraction rio has for Jem (yes, she’s jealous of herself), however as Jem she is constantly throwing herself at him (“Hold me, Rio! Jerrica would understand!”). Oh, and let’s not forget the wonderfully dated mid-80s fashions! Nearly as good as the ones is V: The Series (which I’m also watching right now).
